NORTICO Chocolate Workshop Cacao Tour
The NORTICO Tour offers an immersive Farm-to-Bar experience in the green heart of Costa Rica, showcasing the journey from fine cacao to fine chocolate. After an introduction to the world of cacao where you get to properly taste a variety of fine chocolates, we hike through our lush cacao plantation where we harvest fresh cacao pods ripe from its tree, taste the tangy pulp and learn about sustainable farming.

Horseback Riding Tour
The tour includes riding through pastures with views of the Turrialba volcano; visiting cocoa and coffee plantations; and exploring mountain trails.
Recommendation: Wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, closed-toe shoes, and bring insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, and a waterproof jacket. Helmets are provided.

Eco-friendly Nature Walk
As a guest of Pacuare Mountain Lodge, you can descend to the Pacuare River through the natural trail that crosses the primary and secondary forest of the property, where you can observe many species of birds, small mammals and amphibians while enjoying the energy of the forest and its wonders.

Bird Watching Tour
Hike along the main trail located on the property to many viewpoints and back. More than 360 species have been recorded in the Pacuare River area. One being the rare King Vulture with a broad wingspan ranging from 4 to 6.5 feet (1.2 to 2 meters), allowing for long periods of effortless soaring as they search for carrion in the tropical forest.
